Four separate film nights in the courtyard of "Herma" in old Nicosia, with films from France, the USA and Spain and free entry for the public.
The Summer Sine Erma reopens its doors in June 2026, inviting film friends to four unique evenings of screenings in the atmospheric courtyard of the Bookstore-Cafanagnos "The Erma" in old Nicosia.
With free entrance and opening time at 20:00, the institution returns to the public offering a programme combining classic European cinema, American comedy and contemporary creations that have stood out in international festivals.
The curtain opens on Monday, June 8 with the iconic "Baisers Volés" by François Trifo, one of the most beloved films of the French novel Vogue. On 15 June follows Woody Allen's much-discussed black comedy "Deconstructing Harry", with an impressive cast of protagonists.
The program continues on 22 June with the modern French production "Jane Austin destroyed me" (Jane Austen a Gâché ma Vie), a romantic and literary history of adulthood that gained positive comments from audiences and critics. The curtain of this year's screening cycle falls on 29 June with the Spanish "7 Reasons to Run Away" (7 Raons per Fugir), a series of satirical stories that balance between humor and social reflection.
The organizers call on the public to make their reservations on the telephone 22346770 or through the accounts of "Herma" on social media, as the available positions are limited.
Summer Sine Erma also aspires this year to turn the summer nights of Nicosia into a celebration of cinema, culture and meeting people who love the big screen.
