Traditional flavors, experiential workshops, music and revivals of old Cypriot arts in a great celebration of culture and tradition
An authentic celebration of the Cypriot tradition and life in the village prepares Dora to host on Sunday, June 7, 2026, through the annual festival "Ana-Viomas", organized by the Community Council of Dora in collaboration with the organized ensembles of the community.
From 10:00 in the morning to 18:00 in the afternoon, the picturesque village of Lemesos Province is transformed into a large living delivery workshop, hosting activities, culinary experiences, revivals of old professions, music, dances and actions for young and old.
The program includes cycling from Limassol to Dora, walks in nature with tours, revival of the process of the production of zivania, displays of the manufacture of paluge, gravel and bread in a traditional oven, as well as a narrative of fairy tales and legends of the village.
A separate part of the event are the experiential workshops of weaving and pottery, traditional dances and chiatistas, while stands with Cypriot products, local flavors and traditional arts will operate in the area. Guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy free treats with paluze, colloquia with baked, halumi and zivania.
At the same time, there will be a documentary dedicated to the shepherd's life in Dora, while for children there will be a special children's corner with clowns, face painting and creative activities with free entrance.
The festival aspires to highlight the cultural heritage and hospitality of the Cypriot countryside, inviting the public to experience a complete experience full of memories, flavors and images from authentic Cypriot life.
