The State Book Club honors the Academy of Athens award-winning author for all her rich writing work
A special evening dedicated to author Anna Marangou is organized by the State Book Club on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 19:00, at the Art Foundation, on the occasion of its award by the Academy of Athens for its overall contribution to letters and culture.
The event, entitled "Anna Marangou – Walking in the kingdom of Cyprus", is a tribute to a personality that through her writing and research work highlighted important aspects of Cypriot history, cultural heritage and collective memory.
The introduction of the event will be held by writer Nasia Dionysiou, a member of the State Advisory Body, while the discussion will be coordinated by former Minister of Justice and President of the State, Anna Koukidis-Prokopiou. The honorary prize will be awarded by sociologist and founder of the State, Dr.Nikos Peristianis.
The evening is expected to highlight Anna Marangou's important contribution to the field of letters, as well as the timeless value of her work, which has contributed substantially to the study and promotion of the history and culture of Cyprus.
After the event, there will be a reception for the public. Interested parties are invited to register until 5 June 2026.
