Sports drama against the harsh world of MMA
Legendary former MMA champion Patton James has given up the games and works as a fisherman to support his family.
But when his younger brother is in danger, he is forced to return to the ring for one last big race. On his side is his old coach, who helps him regain his strength and confidence.
"Beast" is a sports action film directed by Tyler Atkins, starring Daniel MacPherson, Russell Crowe and Luke Hemsworth. The film's script is co-signed by Russell Crowe along with David Frigerio.
The film combines intense action, excitement and personal struggles, reminiscent of classic sports drama films. Many of the critical action scenes were filmed in Bangkok, Thailand, within the famous Impact Arena. The creators used the real sport event ONE 170: Tawanchai vs. Superbon 2 to give absolute realism to the scenes of crowd and ring.
