Cyprus' sweetest festival returns to Foini
The Loukoumiou Festival in Foini returns for the 3rd year, on Sunday, June 7, turning the picturesque village of Foini again into a reference point for lovers of tradition and authentic Cypriot flavors.
The palm-like loukoumi, which has for years been one of the most famous traditional sweets of Cyprus, continues to carry its own special history and reputation, having even distinguished itself at the Cyprus Dating Awards 2025 as a Cyprus Product of the Year, confirming its position among the most favorite Cypriot products.
The festival, organized by the Finiou Community Council, is also expected to gather visitors from all over Cyprus, who will have the opportunity to experience the art of making the traditional sausage, to taste authentic flavors and live the hospitality of the beautiful mountain village.
Foini, a village with a deep connection to tradition and gastronomy, has kept the art of the sausage alive for decades, carrying recipes and secrets from generation to generation.
