The film inspired by crime in Tembi – Participants Dadakaridis and Miltos Paschalidis
The research section of the ALS O29M and the 1948 Cultural Foundation presents for the first time in Cyprus the much discussed short film "Battered Parties", in two unique screenings: Sunday, June 14, Limassol and Monday, June 15, Nicosia.
The "Blood Sheets" is the new work of director Raphael Nikolaou Loutaris, which draws inspiration from the tragic and unanswered Tembe railway accident. The case follows George, a young man who clashs with his authoritarian father in order to pursue his dream in the music world. When he finally decides to claim his freedom and leave the house, he confronts harsh reality and fatal conflict.
The film stars the acclaimed actor Pygmalion Dadakaridis, while the beloved creator Miltos Paschalidis participates, giving special depth and feeling to the final result.
The screenings in Cyprus acquire a special character, as the young director himself will be present, who travels to the island especially for the event. Immediately after the end of the screening, an open debate will follow with the public, giving the opportunity for a fruitful dialogue around collective memory, loss and power of art as a means of social awakening and claiming justice.
